Ogala Ojochegbe Prevail, professionally known as Skykid, is the founder and CEO of Darkcloud — and one of Nigeria's most remarkable young creative technologists. A distinguished graphic designer, photo editor, full stack creative technologist, website developer, programmer, and tech wizard.

Born on March 26, 2007 in Damaturu, Yobe State, Nigeria, his journey in the digital world started with a deep curiosity about art and technology. He didn't wait for formal training — he taught himself, practiced relentlessly, and built multiple companies before turning 18.

Driven by a profound passion for visual storytelling and technology, Prevail established multiple companies focused on empowering brands and creatives to succeed in an increasingly dynamic media and technical landscape.

He founded Darkcloud with the same philosophy that drives everything he does: powerful tools and knowledge should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford them. Darkcloud is his contribution to making world-class education available to learners across Africa and the world — completely free.

2007

Born in Damaturu, Yobe State, Nigeria

March 26, 2007 — the beginning of a story that would go on to reshape creative tech in Nigeria. Born with an innate curiosity about how things work and how they look.

2019

First Steps into Digital Design & Technology

At just 12 years old, Prevail picked up his first design software and wrote his first lines of code. What began as curiosity immediately became a calling that would define his life.

2021

Founded Prevails Media

Launched Prevails Media — a full-service media company delivering superior visual content solutions including graphic design, photo editing, video production, and brand storytelling.

2023

Expanded: OJPTechlab & Prevails Connect

Launched OJPTechlab as a dedicated technology innovation lab, and Prevails Connect as a platform bridging creatives and brands across Nigeria's digital space.

2024

Prevails Live & Darkcloud

Launched Prevails Live — real-time content and live broadcasting — and founded Darkcloud, the free online learning platform bringing world-class education to learners everywhere.
